Then it hits me: it’s all tied to a deeper question — what is consciousness? And do we need consciousness to truly understand?
Here’s a little insight I find intriguing: kids often say “I don’t know” when they hit a wall. On the flip side, AIs tend to hallucinate answers instead of admitting gaps in knowledge.
What if we could change that? Imagine giving AIs real memories, making them curious, truth-seeking, and always willing to learn instead of just being answer-generating machines. Could this be the route to achieving Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)?
There’s a lot to ponder here. Next time you hear an AI respond in a conversation, ask yourself — is this understanding or just a fancy pattern recognition? It makes you appreciate the depth of what we define as understanding, doesn’t it?
